Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
John 12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
3:6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
There used to be a more “comfortable” sense that if you didn’t get the information you needed, that you would “catch it next time” or that you could easily find it again when doing a search for it.
Times have changed.
Facts are censored.
Sometimes good information by licensed and degreed professionals is deplatformed. Sometimes those professionals are put in prison for telling the truth.
Sometimes information no longer comes up in the search engines.
Sometimes information appears once in the search engines, but then you cannot find it again doing a similar search.
If you find something useful, save it.
Don’t assume, don’t presume, that you can easily find it again.
This is a topic with which I’ve had some experience.
A while ago I was doing some writing on a health topic. I was working with a scientist, using peer-reviewed information. There was such a stranglehold on information that finally hours and hours of work had to be deleted. (Later, I jokingly, though actually quite seriously, told someone that I’ve “sworn off” doing any more health writing when I was asked if I write something. Really, why spend the hours of work to have it deleted?)
Unless you are in the field of writing and editing, you have no idea how much legitimate and factual information is carefully sifted before it is presented to the public. Sometimes it take years for facts to become common knowledge, not because the facts were not already known, but because the powers-that-be seek to keep those facts suppressed because facts will cut into their bottom of line of money and power if the truth be known. Or, it might send someone living who was involved in criminal activities to prison so the truth is kept under wraps.
Lies are always profitable for someone.
Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Sometimes facts are woven into entertainment and humor because it is not possible to say things directly.
This is nothing new. Whole novels have been written; movies , even cartoons have been presented as entertainment, when in reality they were actually dealing with a “topic” of some kind. You have to pay attention. 1984 is a good example.
So if you are just popping around the internet looking for the “latest”, maybe just for “fun” or to throw out a comment, and don’t value and appreciate what you find, and take action on it, if it concerns your well-being, whether that well-being is natural or spiritual, well, you should reconsider what you are doing and the opportunities you might be missing or losing by not seriously considering the information you find. Perhaps only if you are in the field of writing and reporting do you have any clue of how much editing forces seek to sift out real information.
We have been taught that we should spend life being entertained.
Editors have the ability to edit out the life, the life of the truth, the real information that is of value. It is a brave editor that will permit the truth to be told.
There is a saying that the first casualty of war is the truth.
And we are in a war for true information. We are in a war for true information about our natural lives. We are in a war for true information about our spiritual lives, about God and satan, Jesus and redemption, heaven and hell. We should not take information that we learn lightly.
Listen to it. Act on it appropriately.
John 12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
