Only a Moral and Religious People

When the nation was formed, the Constitution was created by men who believed in Christian virtue.  As John Adam pointed out, the constitution would only work for a moral and religious people.

A moral and religious people understand the spirit of the law and the intent of definitions to be line with the Bible, with the moral intent of the Bible.

These are the Ten Commandments given by God to mankind.

Exodus 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,

2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

 

Let’s look at “thou shalt not bear false witness.”  That regularly happens in the media and in the courts.

“Thou shalt not steal.”  Some people regularly go into stores and steal.

“Thou shalt not kill.”  Look at the crime rates in big cities and how often the innocent are killed.  Then there is the war in Ukraine which has to do with investments based on the economics of war.  People get rich by destroying stuff and then going in later and investing in the rebuilding.  Corruption kills to protect itself.

“Honor thy father and mother.”  The nuclear family unit has been broken down.  The State does not recognize the rights of parents.  There is general dishonor.

“Honor the sabbath.”  Children’s sports are played on the sabbath.  Corporations expect their employees to work in the sabbath.  Many businesses are open on the sabbath.  People do other things on the sabbath than going to the house of God.

Etc.

Freedom, in the minds of the earliest settlers who formed this nation, was freedom to live according to the principles that God set down in his word.

Freedom was the freedom to “love thy neighbor as thyself.”

Freedom was the freedom to obey God’s original commandment to be fruitful and multiply.  It was the freedom for a man and woman to have children.

It was freedom to worship God.

Again, John Adams said that the constitution was only for a “moral and religious people.”  Otherwise, we have what we have today.

The definition of the word “freedom” has been perverted  into the freedom to do anything including murder, steal, peddle drugs, exist as a pedophile, transgenderism, war for profit, pharmeceuticals used for profit even if the drugs destroy people, government lies, injustice in the courts, etc.

That perverted definition creates all the destruction and mayhem that is seen on the nightly news.

If you take only one topic…transgenderism…Russia at the government level is against transgenderism.  That one topic alone gives Russia the higher moral ground.  Since God’s original commandment was to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28), Russia has planted its banner firmly in the soil of that which God wants for mankind.

Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

 

Russia has taken its moral stance at the national level, at the level of its government.  The United States has not.  The word of God shows that God judges nations as sheep or goats.

When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness

Where the United States as a nation went wrong is that it did not define freedom as freedom to do the will of God or to keep to God’s moral principles.  In attempting to leave a national church in England, and avoid creating a new one, there was left a chink in the armor that is missing.

Freedom is not the freedom to do anything…wantonly kill, rape, pillage, steal, make profits off of war, be a pediphile, market drugs, market death and other negative things that do not qualify as “love thy neighbor as thyself.”  The current societal working operative definition of freedom has been perverted into a definition in which a person is free to do anything, including murder and steal; this is not a biblical definition of freedom.

The early settlers understood a different definition of freedom.  They came for the freedom to worship God.

But like happened so often in the history of Israel, when those original leaders and founders who understood and lived the covenant with God died off, then the nation moved into idolatry, rebellion, and rejection of God’s laws.

That is basically what has happened to the United States.  Of course, there are individuals who seek to follow the Lord.  But at a national level, it is evident the United States has rejected God.

This is where Russia has the upper hand and will win.  Russia is against trangenderism.  At a national level,  Russis believes in Orthodox Christianity.

In the United States, you can have government officials who say their faith is a private matter.  They say they are believers  while they vote for abortion or push the toxic vaxx in the name of what they call…this is what Jesus would want.

The founding Fathers of the United States were Christians or deists. They certainly would not comprehend that their understanding of freedom of religion would be transformed by progressives to mean freedom to cut off body parts of children, kill babies, commit pedophilia and rape and peddle drugs.

There used to be something called the spirit of the law and the letter of the law. The letter of the law is supposed to embody what the spirit of the law means. When the two agree in righteousness, there are righteous and just laws. However, in the United States, the spirit of the law has been divorced from the letter of the law. Progressives try to maniupulate the letter of the law and manipulate definitions to bring about the changes they want, which is to legalize crime so they can freely do their criminal activities without the nuisance of lawsuits and consequences.

Ezekiel 18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

25 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.

27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

29 Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?

30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

 

This article link below indicates that Russia knows this is a fight for the very moral Christian foundation of civilization itself.  That is definitely not why the United States is in the fight, as a matter of fact, it is the exact opposite.  The corrupted leadership in the United States wants to spread its corruption even further and its goal is Russia.   I’m talking at the national level.  I know there are individual Christians, but they are not the majority in leadership.   We have satanists and globalists and big bankers and the military industrial complex running things.  The Ukrainian war to them is an investment opportunity.  The United States will not succeed because it is not fighting a just war.  Russia, in focusing on saving Christian values, is fighting a just war.

Great was the company

Psalm 68:11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

 

The push back against the satanic globalist agenda occurs when professionals give out facts to counter proveable lies, and then the populace pick up those facts and push them out on social media.

Over and over a corrupted media and government lie…they call is mis-statement, but the dictionary definition would be “lie.”   When countered, they exude an attitude that unless you are “their” expert, that you are to shut up and say nothing.  This is why the honest professionals need to push facts out.  The populace may not know the facts, the experts do, and quoting professionals is permitted as long as English grammar is permitted.

You don’t have to have a Ph.D. in meteorology to look outside and see it is raining.  If you just listened to the weatherman who is the professional, doesn’t that count? The despotic progressives would say no.

Jesus indicates that quibbling over the obvious means there is a deeper issue.

Matthew 16:16 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.

2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

Historical Legacy

At funerals or during live event speaker introductions, there may be highlights of important accomplishments.

None can match what Jesus Christ did.

What did Jesus do with his life?

Jesus conquered sin, hell, death and the grave, arose from the dead with the keys of death and hell; makes it possible for individuals to gain admission into God’s kingdom; and lives to make intercession for believers.

Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

 

No other religious leader or guru has this testimony but Jesus Christ.

Jesus says this about himself.  He alone makes this claim.

John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

How do you know?

How do you know anything?

Because so-and-so said so.

Where did so-and-so learn it?

From so-and-so.

And him?  Where did he learn it?

From school.

Where did they learn it?

 

There are different forms of learning

Research scientists as we know them are a more modern invention.

There is trial and error.  You cook the cookies too long.  They burn.  You course correct and do better next time.

When it comes to some historical things, how did man learn?

He ate a berry and died; the rest of society learned the berry was poisonous.  That’s one way. Or maybe he listened to God and didn’t eat the poisonous berry.

In the case of Adam and Eve, God told them what to eat and what not to eat. They failed the test and got evicted from Eden.

Early man was closer to God.

Man did not come up from the slime. Man did not evolve from the slime.

Man was created by God.  God walked with man in the cool of the day in Eden.  Then man fell by listening to the serpent, the devil, satan who tempted man to disobey God.

Man had created abilities from God and then de-volved after the Fall in Eden. De-volved is the opposite of evolved.

Man has gone downhill, not uphill.

God is the source of original “witty inventions.”

Proverbs 8:10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

 

Since man came from God, there is a soul, there is a conscience, there is an inner ability to hear when something is wrong.

But modern man ignores his conscience. Instead he makes decisions based on funding, bottom lines, board decisions, politically correct trends, what he thinks will promote the brand image, or other reasons than the voice and conscience from God that either directs him to move ahead or tells him to stop.

I Timothy 1:19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

 

At certain points in history, a number of voices speak similar things since they are individually listening to their consciences and coming up with the same message.

Society has doubt that AIs are a good thing. Society should listen to misgivings that are coming from many people, including those who are most trained in the field of AI, and shut it down.

Transformed into an angel of light

Satan was thrown out of heaven after an unsuccessful coup.  He came to earth and continues to attempt to rule a kingdom. He has appeared in different forms throughout history.

At the time of Eden, he appeared to Eve as a serpent. At the time of Abraham, false gods were clay images connected to invisible spirits. In this pseudo-scientific age, some corporate executives and government officials  worship gods of climate change and transgenderism.   Each historical age has a different manifestation.

II Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

 

The idea of the antichrist is not something unique to this time.  John, who was one of the disciples of Jesus, talked about the antichrist in his day.

I John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

 

Why has there been such an attack on original creation? Who would attack original creation but that great serpent, the dragon, satan who wars against the woman, who wars against the church, who wars against God, who wars against God’s creation? To take original creation, and cut off parts of men and women in the name of transgenderism, is to create a world where the very definitions of what it is to be human changes.  Progressives use “fluid” definitions to enact their own agendas.

What if a man identifies as a woman, rapes a woman, and then re-identifies as a man or any one of 57 other varieties. What then? Is he/she/it guilty? If you are Jack one day and Jill the next, can Jill be charged with a crime? Or Jack?

Does transgenderism put someone in a untouchable legal definition?  Are our laws prepared to deal with the confusion that will be brought by progressives?   That confusion buys them time since go-along-to-get-along society generally operates on the defense and not the offense.  We need to be proactive, prepared for their next move.   And what if the antichrist is a transgender AI? Does that give the AI legal authority over mankind but mankind has no way to fight back? Do we have AIs currently in office posing as government officials?  Some of them seem to hide from public view.  Are we prepared to deal with these questions while we still have time?

16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

“If we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged”

Self-reflection is a good thing.

I Corinthians 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

 

Psalm 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

 

In light of the FBI seeking to infiltrate the Catholic Church, it is worth every denomination’s while to ask if they have been co-opted in some way.

There is an antecdotal saying in the church that the devil only fights believers… because others are already under his control so he leaves them alone.  If that is even partially true, the protestants/evangelicals might ask where the FBI and CIA stand in relationship to non-Catholic denominations?  Have they already been put under a spell of which they are not aware?

This is not the first time the Catholic Church has been attacked.  In the last century, Archbishop Fulton Sheen was an instrument for the conversion of Bella Dodd.  She admitted to helping communists into educational roles, including seminary.  We see the fruit of that today with some of the evident problems in the catholic hierarchy.  We see the fruit of it in woke universities.

Where does that leave the American protestant/evangelical church?  Have they been ignored by the CIA, FBI, freemasons and communists?   It is worthwhile question to ask.   Are there freemasons or CIA agents on church boards?  Have proclamations out of Washington, D.C., hampered the preaching of the gospel? Has the mental disposition of the church been moved in a certain direction making it easier for the woke, progressive element to take over society?

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children

Statitistics matters. The most important statistics in God’s eyes concern souls.

Luke 15:10 (KJV) Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

 

There is another statistic that is important as well.  And that is the relationship of righteousness to unrighteousness in a nation.

Abraham interceded for Sodom and Gomorrah.  His nephew Lot lived there.  Abraham prayed that Sodom and Gomorrah would be saved.  However, there were not enough righteous souls; a certain mimimum needed to be met.  The Lord left the discussion at a certain point.   For salvation, Lot and his family had to leave Sodom and Gomorrah; Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed.

Genesis 18:20 And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord.

23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

26 And the Lord said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty’s sake.

32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake.

12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.

14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lord being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:

19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;

25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

27 And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord:

28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

 

There are those who might say that God doesn’t care about numbers and that it is ridiculous to think that God cares about minor details like how many people seek to live righteously.

David was a man after God’s own heart. (I Sam. 13:14)  He slew Golaith.  He became king.  He wrote the this.

Psalm 101:I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

 

There was only one time when David failed on that and had a peep show with Bathsheba.  While he repented and was forgiven, the cost of that to his family was tremendous.

II Samuel 11:1  And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.

2 And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.

3 And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?

4 And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.

5 And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child.

6 And David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Uriah the Hittite. And Joab sent Uriah to David.

7 And when Uriah was come unto him, David demanded of him how Joab did, and how the people did, and how the war prospered.

8 And David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house, and wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king’s house, and there followed him a mess of meat from the king.

9 But Uriah slept at the door of the king’s house with all the servants of his lord, and went not down to his house.

10 And when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Camest thou not from thy journey? why then didst thou not go down unto thine house?

11 And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.

12 And David said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and to morrow I will let thee depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow.

13 And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.

14 And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah.

15 And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.

16 And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were.

17 And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.

18 Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war;

19 And charged the messenger, saying, When thou hast made an end of telling the matters of the war unto the king,

20 And if so be that the king’s wrath arise, and he say unto thee, Wherefore approached ye so nigh unto the city when ye did fight? knew ye not that they would shoot from the wall?

21 Who smote Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast a piece of a millstone upon him from the wall, that he died in Thebez? why went ye nigh the wall? then say thou, Thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.

22 So the messenger went, and came and shewed David all that Joab had sent him for.

23 And the messenger said unto David, Surely the men prevailed against us, and came out unto us into the field, and we were upon them even unto the entering of the gate.

24 And the shooters shot from off the wall upon thy servants; and some of the king’s servants be dead, and thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.

25 Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another: make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him.

26 And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband.

27 And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.

II Samuel 12:1 And the Lord sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.

2 The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:

3 But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.

4 And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.

5 And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the Lord liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:

6 And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

8 And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.

9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

11 Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

12 For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said unto David, The Lord also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

15 And Nathan departed unto his house. And the Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

16 David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.

17 And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.

18 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?

19 But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.

20 Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the Lord, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

21 Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.

22 And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that the child may live?

23 But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

 

My experience is that God is an excellent bookkeeper.  But you don’t need to go by my antecdotal evidence. Scripture indicates this as well.  What a man sows, that shall he also reap.  (Gal. 6:7)  God knows when people tithe and give.  He knows when they don’t.  Stuff matters.  Details matter.

Luke 12:1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

The Most Important Statistic

We use numbers and statistics all the time from the number of items on a shopping list to statistics about the economy. Groups are counted. Surveys are taken. Statistics are compared. Groups are splintered into subgroups. The numbers in these subgroups are used for anything from calculating political decisions to brand marketing.

When it comes to God, there are only two groups that really matter.   The groups are divided into whether the soul is saved or not. That is the most important statistic.

We just came through the Easter season, also called the celebration of Jesus’s resurrection, also called the Passover.

The Blood of Jesus was shed for the salvation of the world. Jesus is the Lamb of God.

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

 

Revelation 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

 

The power of the Blood of Jesus was foretold in these verses.

Exodus 12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

 

The only statistic with God that matters is the state of the soul.  Has the blood of Jesus been applied?  Is the soul born again?  There are only two states of the soul.  It doesn’t matter if someone is rich or poor, young or old, or any other classification you might want to consider.  Has the Blood been applied?  When God looks at the soul, can God pass over the soul in acceptance because God sees the Blood of Jesus applied,  or will the soul be judged?  That is the only statistic that matters.

Success in the kingdom is having been born again.  A person can have earthly success, and there is nothing wrong with that.  Job, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were all well off.  Joseph, Daniel, and King David held high political office.  But riches, even billions of dollars, even billions of dollars given in charity, without having the Blood of Jesus applied to the soul, without being born again, will not allow the soul to enter the kingdom of heaven.  Works of charity are good.  But they must come after being born again as a fruit, as a result of the new birth, not as an attempted means into the kingdom.

This is a theological battle of works or no works.  Works will not get you born into the kingdom of heaven.  A baby can only be born.  There are no works a baby can do to birth itself.  Now a baby can be born, grow, learn, work, and  grow into positions of responsibility.  Hard work and diligence can advance a person, but it comes after being born.

John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

 

It is not the money or lack of money. It is whether what Jesus accomplished at the cross, the Blood of Jesus and deliverance from sin, has been applied to the individual life.  Money is not evil.  It is the love of money that is the root of all evil.  The city of God has streets of gold.  God is not a poor God.  God cares for the state of the soul.  If a person is so controlled by money that he will lie, deceive, steal, kill, destroy,  create wars and destroy nations for more money and power, that’s a problem.  It’s that love of money that is the problem, not the money itself.

Luke 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:

28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
