I really struggle with how to present this, not because I am not familiar with the material, but because I have a sense of the background of the viewing audience and I recognize some of the cognitive dissonance I need to deal with in order for comprehension to come.
A lot of why the church wants to ignore this kind of material is because they are banking on the Second Coming of Christ happening soon, so they don’t want to have to look at certain things in society.
And when they ignore certain things, they are in danger of destroying themselves and their children.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Historically, every time a generation keyed in on “this is the Second Coming of Christ”, I won’t say that they were misled, because in one respect, certain things did happen prophetically, but it didn’t happen “like they thought”.
How often has Jesus appeared and people did not recognize him?
- The scribes and Pharisees of Jesus’s day, with the exception of Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimethea, did not recognize him. There may have been others that recognized him, but I’m going by what we are told in scripture.
- When Jesus arose in the garden, Mary thought he was a gardener.
- The disciples walking on the road to Emmaeus did not recognize him until their eyes were opened.
- Peter and the disciples, after they had returned to fishing, did not at first recognize the Lord.
- And then there’s Saul, who was “trembling and astonished” when he realized he had been fighting God… Acts 9:4 And he (Saul) fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
And even today, how many times do we not recognize Jesus?
Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.[emphasis mine]
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
And even as I write this it struck me that this is sandwiched between the parables of the Five Wise and Foolish Virgins, the parable of the talents, and the coming Crucifixion. In other words, it is in one of the chapters considered to be “end time” teachings.
Jesus could have spoken this teaching way earlier during his ministry, but he sprinkled it in among mention of the last times. That’s something to consider. Jesus never did anything accidentally, but always on purpose as to timing.
Purpose.
Should the church define its purpose as only related to church-centered activities? How should it relate to some of the current issues of the day?
I think there is a danger of the church becoming irrelevant if it cannot at least make the correspondences of how the very battle that began in the garden…satan seeking to separate man from God, satan seeking to divide man from God…is still happening today.
Otherwise, the Bible seems to be, to the casual observer, a bunch of “old stories”. But actually, it is history in the making, that began in the garden, and has continued until this day. It is, in truth, the Word of God to mankind and when treated as such, proves itself.
Obedience is the key that unlocks the door.
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
The unbeliever stands outside of the door of obedience and therefore cannot have the witness within himself or experience the manifestation of the presence and power of God.
I attempt on this blog to show how the Bible is relevant to what we are dealing with everyday. Because for people to come to Jesus, they must realize that Jesus and the Bible are relevant to everything we are dealing with every day. And, with the help of Jesus, and promises of God, we have heavenly help in dealing with these things. Unbelievers stand outside of the promises of God and cannot hope for help.
It is not that God is unwilling to help, but the beginning point of receiving help from God is becoming a child of God and being born again, being born into God’s family. And then, follow after the Lord in obedience.
You gotta be adopted into the family for the family name and benefits.
And what are we dealing with today? And how is God and the Bible relevant to it? Here are a few things.
- the Covid vax
- transgender agendas infiltrating the schools
- depopulation
- the Great Reset
- propaganda
- 1984
How can a Christian, or non-Christian for that matter, make any sense of this in light of the Bible? How do you make the Bible relevant to all this?
Briefly, if that is even possible, let’s try to show how the Bible is relevant.
The Covid vax…the thief (satan) comes not but for to steal, kill, and destroy. That’s what the vax does, it steals, kills and destroys. So, the ultimate origin is satan. The vax even has snake venom in it.
Transgender agendas infiltrating the schools…what does God think of it? How can we know? We can know because in the beginning God made them male and female and said to be fruitful and multiply. God never changed that. To be fruitful and multiply requires a male and a female. So transgender agendas are out.
Depopulation…God said to fill the earth. So let’s do what God says and when we have obeyed God, He will tell us the next step. We have not obeyed.
The Great Reset…this is a depopulation of the world the Lord God has made. It is in direct contradiction to the purposes of the Lord God. Therefore, it does not come from the Lord God of the Bible.
Propaganda…the Bible talks about the false prophet. The false prophet is the father of propaganda.
1984…this book details out an atheistic world, a dictatorship under an atheistic world. This is contrary to the kingdom of heaven under the Lordship and Kingship of Jesus Christ. So we know that a “1984 world” is not the world that God wants.
In other words, with everything that the world throws at you, you have to find your answer in the Bible, in the Word of God. If you don’t, satan will seek to take you out one way or another.
The answer is not sticking your head in the sand pretending that these things are not happening, or, focusing on the Second Coming of Christ hoping it will create the “time out” from all the chaos.
God calls us to protect the little children. How will we protect them if we deny that attempts to propagandize and mutilate them through transgenderism is happening in the schools, hospitals and states?
If we ignore these things and pretend they are not going on, and do not recognize they are from satan, then that puts us in danger of coming under their power.
You have to resist the devil and how can you resist what you won’t recognize?
We are still here. We have to deal with things as they are. We are here in Christ’s stead.
Until the Second Coming of Christ happens in a way recognized by all mankind, we are here on the earth. The heavens belong to the Lord. The earth He has given to the children of men.
Psalm 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
It is our responsibility to deal with things on the earth.
Don’t blame God for what is happening on the earth. He gave the earth to mankind. Jesus gave His Name, His Blood, His authority, his power, his promises, his Holy Spirit, his commission to his disciples.
So it’s our job to get off the couch and do something.
With all that said, here is the link to Died Suddenly. (click through to the article and watch the video).
Warning…it is very raw and graphic and not for children.
