More on Tithing
This is being added to a prior post, Why is it good to tithe?
Having done all, stand is a principle in the Bible.
However, if the tithe has not been paid, then “all” has not been done.
Another point is, what is the storehouse?
The storehouse is where you receive your spiritual food. It can be the church you go to. It can be the church you watch online.
If you go to a restaurant, you pay for the meal. If you go to a movie theater, you pay for the movie. When you eat spiritual food at a church, even if you do it online, you should pay your tithe to that church.
Churches are not subsidized by the government. For some reason, people think they can go to church for free and give nothing back. And that may be one of the reasons they have trouble in their life.
Proverbs 11:24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
The bottom line is obedience to the Word and will of God brings blessings.

Why Is It Good to Tithe?
It seems necessary to revisit this topic: Why is it good to tithe?
Well, first of all, the Bible commands it. The tithe belongs to God. To not tithe to God makes the non-tither a thief, and one of the Ten Commandments is “thou shalt not steal”.
The tithe, while it is a “cut above” regular bills (to use the vernacular), remains in the realm of non-negotiable bills such as the mortgage, car payment, electric bill, water bill, trash pick up, taxes and so on. It is non-negotiable. It should be the first thing paid. It is first in time of payment, and the first “off the top” of a paycheck.
There are things that might seem essential, but they are not: Netflix, Starbucks, a new iphone every year, a bigger and better TV, or even any new “stuff” at all.
It’s better to trim the fat and give the Lord the tithe.
Leviticus 3:16 …all the fat is the Lord’s.
If you really believe the Bible, and really believe that God will rebuke the devourer, wouldn’t you give up any kind of discretionary spending in order to make sure that the tithe is paid? It must be regular and consistent tithing, not just a one time of “trying” it once to see if it works.
There is a saying, “learn from other people’s mistakes because you don’t have enough time to make them all yourself”. If you pay attention you will see that those who do not tithe have certain bad things happen (it is better to call it by its Biblical name…cursed with a curse).
- equipment gets stolen
- unexpected breakdowns, i.e., refrigerators, washers, dryers, air conditioners, flat tires
- health issues that take money
- missing store sales so as to pay higher prices instead, “a day late and a dollar short”
- missed opportunites
- not getting promoted
- not being aware
On the other hand, one of the blessings of the tithe is first and foremost awareness.
This can be spiritual awareness, but it can also be awareness that helps everyday life work better.
A big point of awareness (or non-awareness as the case may be) is the toxic jab that many people took. It was not a true vaccine. And finally, the truth is coming out.
If you tithe, you can be more sensitive to “do’s and don’t’s” in the natural world that will make your life easier. God will make you aware of things to help you avoid problems that take time and money and create turmoil.
Other blessings from tithing may be:
- again, awareness that can lead you to be at the right place at the right time and help you avoid problems
- you meet people, make connections, find ideas and opportunities that would be hidden if you are a non-tither
- preservation of equipment, fewer breakdowns, or if something needs to be replaced, the ability to solve it flows easier. Have you ever had something breakdown and someone could help in 10 minutes as opposed to maybe 2 days later or not showing up at all? Ten minutes is preferable. Life is better with tithing.
- being led to go to a store and finding a sale for something you need
- people giving you things because they have duplicates or have upgraded and don’t need certain things any more
- lack of desire to spend money on unnecessary things…this is big…as a lot of problems are self-inflicted by appetites for things not needed; tithing can help you shrug off what you used to crave as you have a right to ask God to rebuke the devourer if you are a tither
- there are other blessings that God tailors to each of his children individually; a blessing for one is not a blessing to another as people are different
Malachi 3:7 (KJV) Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.

The Promises of God
The Bible expresses the mind and will of God. The more you read it, the more you notice.
Psalm 119:130 (KJV) The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.Psalm 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Details matter. In any profession, any discipline, the true expert has learned to pay attention to, and mastered, the details.
When it comes to the promises of God, details matter.
Some promises are unconditional promises. They are one-sided promises made by the Lord God in which God unconditionally does what He says He will do, or has done what He said He would do and it is up to man to receive it.
Then there are conditional promises. These are if…then propositions. God will do his part if the believer fulfills his part.
Where a person can run into a wall is expecting God to fulfill a conditional promise as an unconditional one. In that case, it is time to go back and read the “fine print”.
One of the biggest areas in which this happens is in the matter of finances. People think that God helping them financially is an unconditional promise.
It is necessary to carefully read the Bible and follow what it says if we desire Biblical results.
The promise given in Malachi is one of the greatest in the Bible. It gives man the opportunity to “prove God”. Regularly, we are tested on this earth to see how much virtue, character, fruit of the Spirit, and growth we have achieved. However, in Malachi, God himself challenges us to prove Him.
Malachi 3:7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them.
There are those who would say the tithe is Old Testament, a part of the Law, and therefore no longer relevant since Jesus came.
However, Abraham paid tithes to Melchisedek and that was several generations prior to the birth and life of Moses, through whom the Law was given. Abel gave an offering, and that was shortly after creation. So giving was established before the Law.
I won’t belabor the point.
He that complies against his will, is of his own opinion still Link

Repost: “God is Our Refuge and Strength” – Hour of Power Choir
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Strait is the Gate
Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Repost: No Unanswered Prayer
As the election approaches, this is a good video to watch on prayer.
At the end there is a book offer. Since the video was made in 2016, I don’t know if that book is still an active offer. However, they do have this book available (currently, at the time of this writing) online day-by-day as a blog post and probably also in their store (scroll to the bottom of the site).
