While it discusses political awakening in the natural realm, there is another phase of awakening which involves recognizing the historical spiritual roots of problems.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I [Jesus] am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
II Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Jesus was rejected and killed. Jesus made reference to those sent before him who also were rejected and killed. Ever since the Fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden, the Lord God sent messengers to show the way out of the pit of destruction.
Luke 19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
Luke 19:47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
Luke 13:34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
While many of these messengers have been Old Testament prophets, they are not limited to that realm of operation. There have been people who have served God in various roles … political, educational, economic or as historians, scientists and more.
Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
The servants of God are not limited to existing within the church only.
Moses is one example. Another is Cyrus, who was a king, but one that God used for his purposes.
Isaiah 45:1 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
The article alludes to those who “‘will seek to destroy, in any way they can, those who disagree.”
This understanding and awakening is a first step. This natural awakening needs to move to the next phase which is a spiritual awakening. The ultimate solution is not in the natural, “flesh and blood” realm, but in the kingdom of God. When the spiritual realm is cleaned up, the natural realm will show the results.
I Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [Jesus] was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Ultimately, the whole world has to awaken to the fact that political and other problems on this earth trace back to partaking of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, as described in Genesis, and the consequences of that event. Jesus made a way of escape from that. The only solution individually and for the earth overall is through Jesus Christ.
John 10:6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
