If you are focused on social media only, it can harm your ability to focus on the Lord.
Jesus said:
Matthew 6:6 But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
By isolating yourself from your phone and social media, you give God a space to meet with you and talk to you.
James 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. 7 For that man shouldn’t think that he will receive anything from the Lord. 8 He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
What should you do if you remember something you need to do? Take a piece of paper, jot it down, deal with it after prayer time.
