Now What? Stepping Up Awareness

Image credit

With the stepping down of Fauci, Anthony Fauci, it is becoming evident that what early whistleblower doctors and scientists stated was correct.  Fauci lied.

Without going into details, there are other negative events that are degrading society.  The question is, what to do?

In reality, the solution is as it has always been.

Matthew 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

It is evident we are entering into this time.

II Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

The moral fabric of western society that used to be relied upon, is no more.  Until that is remedied, what next?

The following thoughts are nothing new.  It is just that they take on a new importance and significance.

It is more important than ever for people to have an active relationship with God, to pay attention to God, to follow the warnings of God, and to obey God, in order to navigate everyday modern life.

This is an evil generation and there is a potential for hurt if someone is not at the right place at the right time.

And even if someone is at the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing, the forces of evil are such that they may go after someone anyway as a type of “human shield” to cover their own misdeeds.

Many things are important.

  • Seeking God early is first things first.
  • Praying prayers of protection daily is an important habit
  • Claiming the promises of God is necessary.
  • The power of the blood of Jesus and the name of Jesus are vital.
  • Obeying God is foundational
  • Tithing to protect from the devourer is foundational

It used to be that because there was a greater moral fabric of society,  people could “slide” a bit, backslide, not pay as much attention, and not be hit as hard as today.

It is imperative to check the charts so to speak, spend prayer time with the Lord,  wait for and follow His directives.  Do not go somewhere if you are not supposed to go and wait for the proper timing to go.

Here are three car stories, all true.
  1. A person was on a business trip.  An ill-intentioned person put a little navigational device on the license plate (which was noticed in the hotel parking lot) which would have allowed the car to be tracked.  Surely nothing good would have come out of that.
  2. A person was going to drive somewhere.   Before going, there was prayer. The Lord said to wait.  Later on, there was an accident at the exact time and place that could have involved the vehicle but did not because the trip was delayed.
  3. And, recently, in the news, the daughter of a Russian got in a car, and the car was was blown up.  Similar incidents have happened recently.

Again, these types of spiritual precautions, patterns, and habits are things we should already be aware of and doing.  But it seems that the sensitivity and awareness of what God is saying about all situations needs to go to a new level.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Not Mixed With Faith

reaching out to God

Hebrews 4:2  For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.

James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

Definition of mix:  to (cause different substances to) combine, so that the result cannot easily be separated into its parts:

When the Word of God is spoken, or preached, or read, there has to be a mixing for there to be success.  There has to be an incorporating of the Word of God through obedience, through some action.

If a person reads a scripture about prayer, but does not mix the scripture with action and actually pray, then there is a falling short of what is necessary for a satisfactory result.

If a person reads a scripture about tithing, but does not mix the scripture with action, and actually tithe, then the promises of tithing “remain on the shelf” so to speak.

Matthew 13:13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don’t see, and hearing, they don’t hear, neither do they understand. 14 In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says,

‘By hearing you will hear,
and will in no way understand;
Seeing you will see,
and will in no way perceive;
15 for this people’s heart has grown callous,
their ears are dull of hearing,
and they have closed their eyes;
or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their heart,
and would turn again,
and I would heal them.’

So What Happens When You Don’t Tithe?

dead end

One thing that various people have said, and I agree, is that if you don’t tithe the money goes to taking care of some problem you probably wouldn’t have had if you would have tithed.

That could include a flat tire, a broken down dryer, legal fees, hospital bills, unexpected expenses.

Tithing has definite promises attached to it.

Malachi 3:5    I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the perjurers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and don’t fear me,” says Yahweh of Armies. “For I, Yahweh, don’t change; therefore you, sons of Jacob, are not consumed. From the days of your fathers you have turned away from my ordinances, and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says Yahweh of Armies. “But you say, ‘How shall we return?’ Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with the curse; for you rob me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for. 11 I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast its fruit before its time in the field,” says Yahweh of Armies. 12 “All nations shall call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says Yahweh of Armies.

13 “Your words have been stout against me,” says Yahweh. “Yet you say, ‘What have we spoken against you?’ 14 You have said, ‘It is vain to serve God;’ and ‘What profit is it that we have followed his instructions, and that we have walked mournfully before Yahweh of Armies? 15 Now we call the proud happy; yes, those who work wickedness are built up; yes, they tempt God, and escape.’ 16 Then those who feared Yahweh spoke one with another; and Yahweh listened, and heard, and a book of memory was written before him, for those who feared Yahweh, and who honored his name. 17 They shall be mine,” says Yahweh of Armies, “my own possession in the day that I make, and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him. 18 Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who doesn’t serve him.
