The Lord Our God is One Lord

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:

Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

There is a vein of thought that is put out by the secular media that Christians cannot be scientists.  A secular modernist worldview disassociates God and science.   Yet the Bible says that God is one.

Every life-giving system has its roots in godly principles.

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

You cannot have a system based on truth that functions outside of God.  Systems may function, but if they are not based on how the Lord God set things up, those systems will be destructive.   They may appear to work for a while  . . .  until they don’t.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I [Jesus] am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

There are systems in society that don’t function properly and are not life-giving.  Society gives them and the people who promote them various names …  fiat currency, transgenderism, open borders, Deep State, global elites,  covid jabs and more.

In all of these, there is something that defies the laws of creation, such as transgenderism; or the laws of life, private property, and equal justice as given to mankind in the Old Testament.  In the case of the covid jab there is an ignoring of the golden rule … do unto others as you would have them do unto you (Luke 6:31, Matthew 7:12).

When it comes to the whole covid dilemma, there was an ignoring of the original Hippocratic oath which historically has been a guide for physicians; that oath has since been modified and ignored in its original form.

Here is the majority of the text of the original Hippocratic Oath, minus the ode to the Greek gods.  There is much that is commendable in this oath.

… I will carry out, according to my ability and judgment, this oath and this indenture.

To hold my teacher in this art equal to my own parents; to make him partner in my livelihood; when he is in need of money to share mine with him; to consider his family as my own brothers, and to teach them this art, if they want to learn it, without fee or indenture; to impart precept, oral instruction, and all other instruction to my own sons, the sons of my teacher, and to indentured pupils who have taken the Healer’s oath, but to nobody else.

I will use those dietary regimens which will benefit my patients according to my greatest ability and judgment, and I will do no harm or injustice to them. Neither will I administer a poison to anybody when asked to do so, nor will I suggest such a course. Similarly I will not give to a woman a pessary to cause abortion. But I will keep pure and holy both my life and my art. I will not use the knife, not even, verily, on sufferers from stone, but I will give place to such as are craftsmen therein.

Into whatsoever houses I enter, I will enter to help the sick, and I will abstain from all intentional wrong-doing and harm, especially from abusing the bodies of man or woman, bond or free. And whatsoever I shall see or hear in the course of my profession, as well as outside my profession in my intercourse with men, if it be what should not be published abroad, I will never divulge, holding such things to be holy secrets.

Now if I carry out this oath, and break it not, may I gain for ever reputation among all men for my life and for my art; but if I break it and forswear myself, may the opposite befall me. – Translation by W.H.S. Jones.

“First do no harm”

Going back to the question of whether a scientist can be both a scientist and a Christian, it is a fact of history that there have been many Christian scientists.  These individuals believed that they could understand the natural world because as individuals they were created in the image of God and therefore could think God’s thoughts after him. By understanding the scientific laws of the world as set up by the Lord God, inventions like electricity, modern sanitation, structurally sound buildings, etc., have been brought to the world.  Individuals have understood the forces of nature and how to turn them into practical applications; positive inventions have been gifts from God.

Proverbs 8:12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

Exodus 3:13 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

Thomas Jefferson referenced the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God in the Declaration of Independence.

The question might be asked that if God gives inventions, then why do some of these inventions go awry? Why are they used for destruction?

One of the initial commands to Adam was to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

However Adam and Eve, and mankind in general after them, have failed to keep that commandment.  Over and over every generation keeps reaching out its hand to mix in some evil with the good. God gave the warning.  Over the centuries, mankind overall has not heeded it.

Since Jefferson was mentioned in connection to the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God, it seems important to point out that as there has been a deviation from the original Hippocratic Oath, likewise there has been a deviation from the original intent of the Founding Fathers.  It has been said that they created a democracy.  Actually, they did not.  They created a Republic.  There is a difference.   They understood the difference.

“Hence it is that such democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.”  James Madison

The premise given to the public about Ukraine (there is the official version given for public consumption and then there is what is going on behind the scenes which is usually more accurate) is that this is a war for democracy.   First of all, the United States is a Republic, not a democracy, and should not be fighting for democracy.  Secondly, the word “democracy” is one of those double speak words talked about in the book, 1984.   It might be better phrased as a struggle to maintain the military-industrial complex and to enrich those who invest in the industries of destruction.  Democracy gives “power to the people” but which people … the globalists?  the ruling elite?  the military industrial complex that President Eisenhower warned about as he left office?

Probably no words are a better definition of “double speak” than these.

“I know you think you understand what you thought I said but I’m not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.”  Alan Greenspan

Even if you think democracy is a good thing … and those who attempt to subvert the Constitution portray democracy as a good thing … Zelensky in Ukraine consolidated  TV outlets and dissolved opponent political parties.  Is this one party rule something the United States should be backing?  Churches have been destroyed as well.

You need to understand that the official version of the story is far from the truth.  Colonel Douglas MacGregor and a few others have been willing to break with the official narrative in order to tell the truth.

Why should you care?  Well, for one thing Congress is sending money to Ukraine for a war that is not a war for “democracy,” even in the misunderstood sense of the word.   The other point is, this is a proxy war with Ukraine, moving to the edge of nuclear WWIII through the current “leadership” (if it can be called that).  It is a proxy war, meaning the US and NATO are fighting Russia through a third party, Ukraine.   It wouldn’t be a saleable war to the American people if they really understood it, but because the “fake news” that Donald Trump tried to warn about still operates, people don’t really understand the history and background and “players”  in this conflict.  It wouldn’t be saleable to the American people if the over 400,000 Ukrainians killed were American sons.  And for what have they been killed?  The only ones benefiting from this war is the military industrial complex and the industries of destruction and those who make money from them.  So, to blunt, Ukrainians are dying, families are losing their … fathers, brothers, husbands, sons, uncles, nephews, cousins, grandfathers and children … in the name of feeding the military industrial complex that gets rich from war.  Bankers benefit as well.  People weep tonight because their loved ones are dead, killed in a senseless war “in the name of democracy.”  The United States sends money, purportedly to “save democracy”; the United States is not even a democracy, but a Republic.  More could be said but at least this much must be understood.

The United States is guilty; can it expect blessings as long as it promotes and funds this war?

“Hence it is that such democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.”  James Madison

Isaiah 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
