Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Why Should I Care?
Why should a Christian care about history, government, and politics?
To start with, this nation was created specifically so those escaping England could have a place to worship God. The Founders recognized that the nature of government was directly related to religious freedom.
We have now lived so long under the freedoms won and bequeathed to us that we have generally forgotten history, nationally gotten sloppy about founding principles, and stand to lose freedom and the nation as well.
Deuteronomy 8:10 When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.
11 Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;
13 And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;
14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
15 Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;
16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;
17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
20 As the nations which the Lord destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God.
It might be argued today, well, that was long ago, now we are waiting for the Second Coming of Christ Who will take care of everything.
That argument is an old one. It was used before in the Bible by the woman of Samaria when speaking to Jesus Himself.
John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
For generations, there have been various disputes about the Second Coming of Christ. I’m not interested in belaboring them other than to point out that oftentimes these theories “missed it” in some fashion.
Not only in prophetic thought, but even when Jesus was physically on earth, before and after the resurrection, he was not always recognized.
- Mary at the garden, mistook Him for a gardener
- The disciples in the road to Emmaeus, thought He was a traveller who didn’t know what was going on
- The Pharisees, the religious leaders of the day, wanted Jesus killed because He threatened their popularity. On the one hand, the Pharisees were looking for the Messiah. On the other hand, they killed him (helped get him killed), because they didn’t recognize him. I understand that this was prophetic, and that Jesus chose to lay down his life, but I’m speaking at a natural level.
- Some still do not recognize Jesus as Lord, Saviour, and Christ today.
In any case, Jesus is not here yet, at least in the common understanding of the Second Coming of Christ, other than within His people, through the presence of the Holy Spirit who resides within believers. It is up to us to act as ambassadors for Christ until he is on this earth again in the fullness of the Second Coming.
With that said, here is a related article. If you know people in Georgia, encourage them to get out and vote. And whether you live in Georgia or not, support Herschel Walker through prayers, donations, and encouraging Georgians to vote.

(for whom the bell tolls)No Man is an Island (1624) by John Donne
No man is an Iland, intire of itselfe; every man
is a peece of the Continent, a part of the main;
if a Clod bee washed away by the Sea, Europe
is the lesse, as well as if a Promontorie were, as
well as if a Manor of they friends of of thine
owne were; any mans death diminishes me,
because I am involved in Mandkinde;
And therefore never send to know for whom
the bell tolls; It tolls for thee.

Creation or Evolution?
The question of creation versus evolution is at the foundation of all other problems in the world.
If man evolved, then he is nothing more than another animal. In that case, the law of the jungle applies. The survival of the fittest applies. If he wants to go out and take something from someone else, whether that’s his lunch or his car or his home or his wife, then the law of the jungle, “survival of the fittest” applies. If he wants to kill someone, then the law of the jungle applies, and life becomes cheap.
Under the philosophy of evolution, life doesn’t matter. Private property doesn’t matter. Law and order doesn’t matter. This is the fruit of the philosphy of evolution.
It is an argument that leads to no morals and no standards. An individual or oligarchy can take over the world, destroy the world, enslave the world, do whatever it wants, and that’s okay in the eyes of progressive atheists, because in the eyes of atheistic evolutionists, man is considered nothing more than a beast, a “useless eater”.
The belief in creation and the God of creation, states that man was created by God, in the image of God, and called to be a Son of God.
This means that the Lord God is the King of His Kingdom and the laws of God prevail.
God made man and has the divine right, as Creator, to be the final Word as to how man should live.
How do we find out the mind of God? The thoughts of God are written in the Word of God, the Bible, the Old and New Testament.
Political philosophies are based on one of these two ideas: creation or evolution.
Those who believe in the Lord God of creation value life, liberty, religious freedom, the rule of law, and the family as ordained by the Lord God in Genesis.
To the atheist, life is cheap. Atheistic governments have gulags, abortions, corruption, theft, loss of property rights, starvation of the masses. Life is cheap.
There is currently a worldwide movement to shift the world from values based on the Bible, to a dictatorship run by the New World Order. It is called the Great Reset.
Christians must resist this. It is ungodly.
Catholic leaders, historically, have tackled these historical and political topics more openly than other denominations. They speak with a clarity that is lacking in other denominations. You see a bit of “fudging” and “blurring the lines” in an apostate America. The true Catholic leaders draw clear lines of demarcation.
