Because They Received Not Love of the Truth

Chapelle des Carmélites - Interieur - Élie rencontrant le roi Achab

II Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

I Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

I Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The further the historical timeline moves from the creation of mankind, the easier it has been for mankind to get off track, because mankind has been far removed from and forgotten its origin.

Early in mankind’s history, various nations served gods and idols.  Now while they did not necessarily understand the source or the history of those things, that their gods and idols were the fallen angels and demons, the 1/3 of the angels that fell from heaven with satan, they did understand that there was a spiritual world beyond the natural world.

The Bible acknowledges that these fallen beings exist…but also directs mankind NOT to worship them or turn them into idols.   The Bible exhorts mankind instead to worship the one true God, to worship the Lord Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

Israel was chosen by God as the nation through which God would reveal his laws, His revelation knowledge to man, through the law and the prophets, and ultimately through Jesus.

Exodus 6:7  And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

Deuteronomy 32:9 For the Lord’s portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

Deuteronomy 18:9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

13 Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God.

14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet [Jesus] from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me [Moses]; unto him ye shall hearken;

16 According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

17 And the Lord said unto me [Moses], They have well spoken that which they have spoken.

18 I will raise them up a Prophet [Jesus] from among their brethren, like unto thee [Moses], and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?

22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Matthew 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him [Jesus], saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.

27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.

28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

There were those who though they were not a part of Israel, did recognize the reality of the Lord God.

Rahab, who lived in Jericho, acknowledged the reality of the Lord God to the spies sent out by Joshua.  She related history that had happened 40 years earlier.

Joshua 2:9 And she said unto the men, I know that the Lord hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.

10 For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.

11 And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the Lord your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.

Another example is when the King of Egypt told King Josiah of Judah, to not get involved in a certain battle.  History indicates that the King of Egypt was hearing the Lord, that Josiah was not listening to God, and that Josiah paid for that inability to listen to God with his life.

II Chronicles 35:20  After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Charchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.

21 But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.

22 Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

23 And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am sore wounded.

24 His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in one of the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

There are other places in the Old Testament where it is evident that earthly rulers, even if they did not serve the Lord, did recognize when He spoke to them or spoke to them through his prophets.

Here is an example with Elijah and Ahab.  Elijah, via Elijah’s servant, told Ahab that rain was coming after a three year drought.  Instead of mocking Elijah, as would probably happen today on late night talk shows, Ahab took the message seriously and did what Elijah, through his Elijah’s servant, advised him to do to escape the rain.

I Kings 18:44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not.

45 And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

46 And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

The centuries have passed and society by and large now worships reason and science and atheism instead of talking about gods and idols.    In actually, false gods and idols are still worshipped, but they are called by other names.

People are still religious, but religious about doctrines of devils, such as transgenderism.

You can read a definition of religion here or here.

I Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Science has degenerated.  It is no longer solely an honest pursuit of truth and facts.  We have especially seen this fall of science and medicine throughout the past two plus years.  Science (excepting the honest scientists and researchers and doctors) has lost credibility.

Science and medicine were co-opted and diverted from their traditional roles to become part of what has been called a scamdemic or plandemic.

I Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

For the last couple of years, as more and more facts have seeped out about the lies regarding Covid and the jab, it is evident that the Covid and jab narrative have been a form of science falsely so called.

There is another underlying assumption in modern society that is also part of science falsely so called  and that is at the root of problems today.

That science falsely so called  is the fable of evolution. It implies that man evolved up from the slime to become what he is today.

This is totally contrary to the facts of Creation.

Atheistic universities like to invert the truth to be upside down of reality…they would prefer to talk about creation myths and evolutionary facts.

However, that should read creation facts and evolutionary myths.

The true facts are that mankind, in the beginning, was created by a Creator.

Acts 17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.

17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.

19 And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?

20 For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.

21 (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)

22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, To The Unknown God. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.

33 So Paul departed from among them.

The real myth is the myth of evolution. It is science falsely so called.

But because this myth has been permitted, wrongly, to persist in society, this false myth, this false philosophy is behind every other ill.

This is why.

If there a Creator, which there is, then there exist instructions from the Creator as to the purpose of mankind and how mankind should live in relationship to God and to each other.

But, as atheists, and globalists that want to rule the rest of mankind want to believe, and also attempt to convince those that they want to rule to believe…that if mankind evolved from the slime, and there is no Creator, then anything goes…murder, theft, adultery, pedophilia, corruption, bribery, white collar crimes…anything, because who or what is to stop it?  Atheists and globalists do not believe in a moral law set up by God.

If those who want to deny the Creator can convince everyone else that man is an animal and that his thoughts are only chemical or electrical impulses in the brain, then any evolutionary-based lawyer would argue that no one should be accountable for their crimes, because, after all, it as a misfunctioning or malfunctioning of electronic impulses in the brain.

The end of this philosophy terminates in AI crimes.  If man’s thinking is nothing more than electronic or chemical impulses in the brain (according to globalists), and if man has no creator and therefore no soul (according to globalists), then the globalists say that mankind can be ruled by AIs who are an advanced form of electronic impulses. Because an AI is programmed according to the philosophy of its creators, an AI can be no better than the programming.

GIGO = Garbage In, Garbage Out

To solve the problems of mankind, there has to be a wholesale acknowledgement of the the truth of the Bible and the truth of Creation.  From there, society must conform its norms of societal behavior to Biblical norms.

But as long as mankind will not receive a love of the truth, that it is created by a Creator, then the refusal of mankind to acknowledge the Creator opens the door to society being ruled instead by people who are willing to steal, kill, and destroy.

Ultimately, there are people who are willing to pay whatever price it takes for them to rule mankind…theft, murder, deceit, lies, war… these kinds of people are inspired by satan, who has worked to inspire people to serve him since the devil was cast out of heaven to the earth.  Satan deceived Adam and Eve.  He still seeks to deceive.

Jesus, through His redemptive work at the cross, makes it possible for people to escape satan’s deception.

But, as at the beginning, mankind individually is left with a choice.

Deuteronomy 30:10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.

12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Judicial Law -“so shalt thou put the evil away from among you”

The Sermon on the Mount - William Brassey Hole

There is woke progressive thinking and advocacy that criminals should be set free.

As mentioned in a prior post, this is because progressivism tries to move society away from the Biblical view that man has moral obligations and can know through the Word of God and conscience right from wrong, to a woke system that states that thoughts are simply chemical or electrical impulses in the brain and therefore, in the progressive, modernist, globalist view…therefore no one should be responsible for a “misfunction” “malfunction” or “misfiring”.

That kind of progressive thinking leads to the idea that there is no place for a Nuremberg II trial for international crime, and that society should instead deal with criminals in a way that is warm and fuzzy, full of teddy bears and rainbows.

As this idea is advanced in society, we see society moving towards lawlessness as thieves and murderers are released from prison to commit crimes again.

The question is…did Jesus advocate an end to law and order?

Jesus said:

Matthew 5:17 (KJV) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

The sacrificial death of Christ did not do away with law and order, it did not do away with law and order overall, but only with the sacrificial system for sin where the blood of various animals was shed.

That system existed in types and shadows and was fulfilled in Christ. That was done away with after the cross.

Jesus was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.

The Ten Commandments, wisdom in Proverbs, tithing and more is still valid.

Actually, Jesus “took it up a notch” as we would say, as He dealt not only with outer actions, but also with things of the heart.

Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

This is because after the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ, the Spirit of God  would now be available to live within individuals  through the new birth, through being born again.  Mankind would have access to greater internal strength through the Spirit of God, and through the Word of God, the Blood of Jesus, the Name of Jesus, the promises of God, and through the sacraments of the Church, to overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

Ephesians 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Deuteronomy 19:1 When the Lord thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the Lord thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;

2 Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it.

3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither.

4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;

5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live:

6 Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.

7 Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.

8 And if the Lord thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers;

9 If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the Lord thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:

10 That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

11 But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:

12 Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.

13 Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.

14 Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour’s landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it.

15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

16 If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong;

17 Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the Lord, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days;

18 And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother;

19 Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.

20 And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you.
