Time Moves On

The Road Not Taken
by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost indicated in his poem that life moves on.   Choices have consequences.  Opportunities change.  And in today’s world, where Google will give you more of what you are searching for, good or bad, if you chance across new information that you never heard before,  if you reach a juncture where you need to make a change and a fresh start, if you are given new information and a new understanding comes to your heart that you need to be born again, and if you don’t respond to that urging in your heart, that moment may pass, not to be retrieved again, or perhaps not for a long season.  God will not always strive with flesh.  God will draw a person to himself, but also sometimes leave a person alone for a season.  Never assume that the opportunity will come around again.  Now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation.

Hosea 4:17  Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.

Revelation 22:11 He who acts unjustly, let him act unjustly still. He who is filthy, let him be filthy still. He who is righteous, let him do righteousness still. He who is holy, let him be holy still.”

Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Genesis 6:3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
