The Question Might Be Asked

The question might be asked, since Jesus resurrected, then why are there still problems on earth?

The best way to understand things is to pick up a Bible and read from Genesis to Revelation.  Don’t get your information secondhand.  Read it yourself.

Here is a quick outline, but it is better if you read the whole Bible yourself.  God created man.  Man fell.  A righteous God could no longer have fellowship with mankind.  There had to be a legal remedy.  God gave Israel a temporary remedy in the Old Testament.  Jesus came as the final Lamb of God whose blood was shed for the redemption of the world.  When Jesus rose from the dead, he made a way for mankind again to connect with God.

However, entering into God’s kingdom is not automatic.  It is individual.  One by one by one…you must be born again.  This is what Jesus told Nicodemus.

John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

The day will come when Jesus will come back the second time.  The first time he came back offering mercy and salvation.  The Second Coming will involve judgment to his enemies.

We see the birth pangs of the Second Coming.

II Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The Myth of Evolution

Evolution des Wirbeltierauges

Image credit: Ventus55, CC BY-SA 3.0, via Wikimedia Commons

There are those who say they don’t believe in God because they consider themselves to be too enlightened, too scientifically-minded, to believe in what they call an ancient myth.

The real myth is the myth of evolution.  Impossible.  The intricacy of how the body works, the difficulties of moving from one type of body to another…a fish to a reptile to a mammal to man, it is so illogical on its face that it is incredible that otherwise intelligent people can believe it.  Or are they as intelligent as they say?  Look at the leaders of the United States.  You would think that they would be the cream of the crop.  I’ll let you decide.  But they are the people running the educational system.

God warns against mixing species.

Leviticus 19:19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

There is good reason not to mix species.  Think of all the recent plagues.  Where did they originate?  They originated by splicing and dicing and combining things that should not have been combined and would not have been combined except that men combined them in their biowarfare labs.

There are diseases in the past with names that indicate that they came from another species:  bird flu, avian flu, pig flu, bat influenza.  Did any of these mixing of something from another species with people cause some kind of an advanced evolutionary change that was positive?  No.  And sometimes people, pets, or livestock got sick and die.  Sometimes massize numbers got sick and died.  Yet those running the educational system want  us to believe that man started as a protozoa and evolved to what he is today.

Repost: The Evolution Song – David Rives – Evolution, The Science of Confusion

Why is the idea of evolution so important to corrupt political leaders?  If there is no God that created the world, then corrupt criminals and politicians want to fill that spot, and create a globalist world that they run.  By advancing to the ruling seats of society through murder, assassination, lies, and other means, they create economic and political and judicial systems that send the money, power, and wealth to themselves.  Wealth is laundered through wars and other means such as economic crashes they engineer so that they can buy up assets for pennies on the dollar.  The peons and lemmings experience suffering, sickness, starvation, and death  This scenario has played out over and over throughout history and is playing out again.  History repeats because there are causes and effects that repeat.  If you put a pot of water on a stove today, and heat it, at a certain point it will boil.  If you had put a pot of water over a wood fire 300 years ago and had heated it, it would have boil.  History repeats.  Laws are immutable within the system they operate.  The world needs redemption.

Jesus came to redeem this world.  Jesus entered the womb of a virgin, Mary.  He was born, lived, taught, healed, was unfairly judged, and died on a cross, his blood was shed, for the salvation of mankind.  Then Jesus resurrected.  Jesus did what no other religious or secular leader has ever done.   Jesus was killed on the cross.  He did not just swoon and then revive.  The work of Roman soldiers was to make sure that the people they killed were truly dead.  If you haven’t watched Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ, you should.  Then decide if Jesus swooned.

Another lie that is circulated at Easter is that the disciples stole the body.  The soldiers  who guarded the tomb would be killed for the price of failure.  Here is something from the Babylon Bee.

If Jesus’ Resurrection Were A Hoax

“Even this whole nation”

Monument plaque to the tithe war - geograph.org.uk - 729079

Image credit: Keith Evans / Monument plaque to the tithe war

Malachi 3:8 (KJV) Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

When the economy was good, did the majority of people in the nation pay tithes to the Lord?  Since the inception of this nation, have the majority of people paid tithes to the Lord?

If the answer is “no”, then the devourer did not get rebuked.  Now whether that devourer manifested as a stolen election, or an expanded money supply leading to inflation, or a proxy war to fill the pockets of those who invest in destruction, those are details, those are fruit, they are not the cause.  The cause is always spiritual first before it manifests in natural details.  The details could be debated. The cause is the refusal to glorify God as God and bring the tithe, that belongs to him, to him, into his storehouse, so that he can fulfill his promises.

What is the storehouse?  There are many Christian churches the preach the gospel. There are costs associated with those message delivery systems.  The storehouse is the one you go to for biblically-based, spiritual food.  If you eat at McDonald’s you don’t pay Wendy’s.  Jesus instituted the church.  There’s a place for you.

Thomas was not there….

Guercino - The Incredulity of Saint Thomas, 1621

Jesus had been crucified, died, buried and resurrected. The disciples knew this, except for one disciple, Thomas.

John 20:24 (KJV) But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

“…blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” (John 20:29)  Why is this true?

Sometimes it is better to believe the witness rather than go to the depths of hell.

Jonah had to go to the depths of suffering before he decided to surrender to God.

Jonah 2:1 Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish’s belly,

2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.

4 Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.

6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God.

7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.

8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.

Why is it better to believe without seeing?  If we believe without seeing, we can do the right thing without having to go through suffering to be convinced of the right pathway.

All aspects of life are covered within the pages of the Holy Bible.

When a nation gets lax, or lukewarm, and decides to mix some Bible, which is good, with some evil practices of satan and mammon, it is equivalent to Adam and Eve eating off of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

As a man or nation sows, so shall it reap.

Revelation 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

In the parable below, Jesus indicates that it is important to believe without seeing and that there are consequences for refusing to be persuaded.

Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

In context, here is the full parable.

Luke 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:

28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

The United States has suffered from wanting to be politically correct and trendy more than follow the commandments of God.

Until collectively there is enough realization that Jesus is Lord, and that Biblical principles need to be the rule of life for men and nations, then the flip side of certain scriptures come into effect.

What does that mean?

Well, if you don’t believe that gravity exists, you might jump off a high place (don’t do it) and then realize, that yes, there is an invisible force called gravity.  You become a believer.

If enough  individuals do not believe in biblical principals, in the rule of law, in the Constitution…then negative consequences are triggered.  By experiencing the negative consequences of unbelief and rebellion, a person finally sees  with his or her eyes what he or she refused to believe and has the “lightbulb” moment necessary for repentance and personal transformation.

It is better to believe correctly and avoid a bad consequence, than to believe wrongly, choose wrongly, and go down a path of suffering before arriving at the correct conclusion.

People blame God for suffering.  However, God created a perfect world.  It was lost due to man’s disobedience, not because of any error on God’s part.  God is perfect.  God is holy.  God is righteous.

Revelation 15:1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

Jesus, as the Last Adam (I Cor. 15:45), came to restore what Adam lost.  But it is not a slam dunk…simply believing intellectually doesn’t get you to the finish line.

James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

It is a belief that involves the new birth, being born again as Jesus told Nicodemus (John 3:7).

II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

It is a belief that results in learning to walk in God’s ways. That will improve an individual’s life. Collectively, that will improve a nation’s life.

Psalm 25:4 Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.

5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Psalm 103:7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

God responds to faith.  Unless there is real faith and obedience, God can’t respond.

Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Nationally, the story of Achan teaches us that one person can have a huge effect on the nation overall. In the story of Achan, God spoke to Joshua to find the one causing trouble to the nation. Joshua obeyed. When it comes to the United States, is there a Joshua who has dropped the ball? Is there a Joshua that has refused to stand in his appointed place?

Joshua 7:1 But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel.

2 And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Bethaven, on the east of Bethel, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed Ai.

3 And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few.

4 So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai.

5 And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.

6 And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the Lord until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.

7 And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord God, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan!

8 O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before their enemies!

9 For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?

10 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face?

11 Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.

12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

13 Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the Lord God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.

14 In the morning therefore ye shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the Lord taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the Lord shall take shall come by households; and the household which the Lord shall take shall come man by man.

15 And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the Lord, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel.

16 So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken:

17 And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi was taken:

18 And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.

19 And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.

20 And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done:

21 When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

22 So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it.

23 And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the Lord.

24 And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.

25 And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the Lord shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.

26 And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the Lord turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

Guercino - Doubting Thomas - WGA10951

John 20:29 (KVJ) Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

There are forces and powers we deal with every day that are unseen such as gravity, electricity, and the wind. There are other forces that are constructs of man that can be described mathematically or described by theory, such as economic theory or political theory. You can’t actually see them, but you can see the results of them in operation. There are invisible forces such as love or hate, kindness or jealousy, loyalty or betrayal. Again, these are unseen, but they can be felt and/or their consequences viewed.

What is in operation in the United States now? It is a force called demonic. Satan, called in the Bible by various names…the dragon, the devil, the serpent…is behind the extreme evil.

Why is it there? It is because the United States overall is apostate. It was founded by Christians who came for religious freedom and to freely serve their God. It was founded by those who believed that there was a God and that freedom was the freedom to obey God, to obey the will of God for their lives. The Founding Fathers belived in the importance of God in the political arena.

And this is, of course, why satan attacks the church.  Why are Christian churches attacked?  It is because Jesus, the head of the Church, paid the price on the cross to redeem mankind and take them out of satan’s hand, individually as each individual turns to God in repentance, desiring to be born again and become a child of God rather than of the devil.  It is only within true Bible-believing Chrisitian churches where the power of God exists through the name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus,  and the operation of the Holy Spirit where there is the power to deal with satan.  This is why you see attacks on Christianity and not other other temples of religion.

Jesus is the only one who laid out the real stakes, the bottomline truth of what is occuring when there is evil.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Sometimes the Bible is called a storyline.  However, it is actually a history of the world.  It is history that explains that this world was created by God.  God created man and woman and put them in a garden.  God’s enemy, who had been previously thrown out of heaven for attempting a coup for God’s throne, shows up in the garden and tempts the one appointed by God to take of the world, Adam and Eve his wife, to disobey God.  They did, they lost their job, they were cast out of the garden, and satan, the dragon, the devil. became the god of this world.

Easter, which is coming up, is the story, and history, of how God, the creator, legally solved that problem.  As God, God can do anything…except break his own laws.  It was a jurisdictional problem.  God gave man earthly authority.  Man lost it on earth.  Sin, sickness and death entered the world on the earth.  Out of love God came to the earth in the form of Jesus to redeem mankind back.  There are many ways to view Jesus, many aspects of Jesus’s life and ministry.  He was a healer, a teacher, a prophet, a friend of sinners.

But he also died on a cross, his life and death fulfilled many prophecies, and he became the Saviour of the world, “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Rev. 13:8), the sacrifice for sin (I John 2:2).  But what does that mean?  Jesus legally, in the justice court of heaven, solved the legal problem of how to reconcile a holy God with sinful man.  When you get through the theological understanding, that is the bottom line.  That is the message of Easter. Understand the message of Easter, and be born again.

2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

The underlying forces of this world are either inspired by God or inspired by satan, the devil, the thief of all that is good.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Man chooses, as Adam and Eve chose, to serve God or the devil.  On this earth, the devil continues the coup that was unsuccessful in heaven.  The devil tempted Jesus at the beginning of his ministry.

Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

The devil still tempts mankind to turn from God and worship satan instead.

When obvious evil is occurring in the earth, behind it, the devil is manipulating people who can be manipulated to succumb to evil suggestions.  Jesus came to return to mankind the ability, through the power of the Blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, the Word of God, and the redemptive work of Christ the ability, the strength, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to overcome the world, the flesh and the devil.  When there is outright evil, that is the opposite of overcoming the world, the flesh and the devil. (I John 2:12-17)

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

The Bible gives us the knowledge and understanding of what is behind evil, and how to overcome it personally if we turn to the Lord Jesus Christ and become a child of God.
