Acts 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
7 And all the men were about twelve.
8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.
19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
21 After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.
22 So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.
23 And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.
24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;
25 Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth.
26 Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:
27 So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.
28 And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
29 And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.
30 And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.
31 And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.
32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
33 And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.
34 But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
35 And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?
36 Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.
37 For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.
38 Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them implead one another.
39 But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.
40 For we are in danger to be called in question for this day’s uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.
41 And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.
At the time of Paul, in Acts 19:19, scripture indicates there was a process that was used to help free the people of witchcraft.
Witchcraft has become more widespread in the United States. Ouiji boards are sold in toy sections. Disney has children’s movies in which the discerning eye can see evil spirits. Popular books have witchcraft themes. There is no “innocent” witchcraft because to invoke a power other than the Lord Jesus Christ is to invoke a spirit other than the Lord Jesus Christ. Doing that opens the door to an evil spirit who can then afflict the life and family. And evil spirits are like the left (who is motivated by them), if the left gets an open door or even a crack of an entrance, they then exploit that opening to bring more and more problems to society. The same holds true for an individual or family … an open door to evil, unless it is repented of and closed in the name of Jesus, can bring more evil.
Exodus 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
People get into trouble because of opening the door to satan, then their lives worsen. The left capitalizes on these destroyed lives by telling them the reason is CRT theory or its because they are the wrong gender or because of “hate speech.” There is not a clear message to society that sin brings the effects of the curse and the only way out is repentance, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and following Jesus. Because that message is not overwhelmingly known, “nature hates a vacuum” and the left steps in with their communist theories of reasons as to why people’s lives are bad.
Some churches no longer preach the reality of the devil and hell because either their theologians are secular modernists full of doubt or because they want to be “user-friendly.”
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Since we see the second part of that verse being fulfilled all around us, that probably means that we as a society have already fulfilled the “cause” part (rejected knowledge) of this cause and effect verse. Overall, society and modernist churches reject the knowledge of God. Our children are being forgotten.
The question is, when people come to Christ is there are protocol to help them? Churches are praying for revival but if God sends revival, is the church prepared to deal with these difficult cases?
Matthew 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
There might be those who say that it is enough to simply come to Christ, go to church, read the Bible, pray and serve. Is there anything within most churches that can receive witches and warlocks and help them get free and stay free? Is there a structured protocol similar to AA?
Some western churches do not want to deal with the reality of evil spirits. We see the fruit of their evil influence all around us … transgenderism, abortions, destruction … but the church is hush hush on the problem because it has been influenced by “higher theological studies” that try to say that the Bible does not mean what it says and tries to cast doubt upon or cut out sections of scriptures or intellectualize away what carnal man cannot understand. Demons and witchcraft are relegated to the Middle Ages, the “Dark Ages” when people were supposedly superstitious and didn’t know much. Actually, they may have understood more of the spiritual world than the average person today.

Understand cause and effect

In today’s world, which is heavy on medicating problems instead of looking at cause and effect relationships in relation to God’s Word, these statistics are simply another study that is disconnected from biblical realities.
However, it is possible to draw cause and effect conclusions through a biblical worldview.
II Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
18 And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

There is a tendency in the world to refer to problems as being psychological and / or requiring medication. However, the Bible says the root cause of problems is sin.
Disobedience to the commandments of God brings depression, dis-ease, and all the consequences of the curse.
Medicating a problem does not remove sin.
Renaming a problem does not remove sin. For example, alcoholism is now called “self-medication.” A pedophile is now called a MAP “minor attracted person.”
Renaming problems and medicating them does not remove the root cause of sin.

What is the Cause?
Over the past 100 years, there have been many anointed ministers. Why is the world in the state that it is in when there has been so much power of God and so many miracles manifested? There is more knowledge of God than is currently being manifested. What has blocked the flow of the anointing into society? Here is a partial list of some possibilities.
- The church was convinced that it should not be involved in politics. It bought the lie of “separation of church and state.” God never intended for morality, character, and the foundation of the Ten Commandments and teachings of Jesus to not influence culture … education, politics, health care, entertainment, commerce, banking and all the aspects of everyday life. Men of character should have been in those positions of leadership. If they had been, then decisions would have been made with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
- The church dropped the ball in terms of insisting that God created the world and that God created man and woman. Evolution is an impossibility. It is ignorance of basic science that leads to deception on this point. As an aside, this is a good reason to understand certain subjects, even if your daily occupation does not require them. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)” If all you want to know is “us four and no more” then you will miss out on things that will protect you and your culture from destruction.
- The division between churches. Dating approximately to the 1970’s and prior, there were great moves of the Holy Spirit that infiltrated denominational churches. For a while, barriers came down. But there seems to be an insistence in saying “we are not them” and focusing on differences. For example, when it comes to The Chosen, a movie directed by an evangelical, in which the actor playing Jesus is Catholic, there’s lots of bashing of the creative effort to bring the knowledge of Jesus, with a goal of reaching one billion souls. Now granted, some of that bashing might be programmed AIs that go around and can comment against anything Christian. But why is there such bashing and division for an effort that brings people to Christ? “He that is not against us is on our part. (Mark 9:40)” Another example is the fact that Archbishop Vigano of the Catholic church has called for a united effort against the globalists. But the Protestants, evangelicals, and charismatics can’t acknowledge him because he’s Catholic, “not one of us,” so his call is rejected unless it comes from “our camp.”
- There is a focus on prophecy that may keep people from focusing on the here and now. People focus on how soon Jesus is coming rather than focusing on what the body of Christ should be doing on the earth. It’s a diversion that may make some people complacent and lazy as regards the work at hand.
- The permissiveness of the world invaded the church. God calls the church to justice, not social justice. Social justice involves targeting a certain group, calling it oppressed, and then using that marginalized group as a focal point to force the rest of society to change. We’ve seen the target change over the years … women, blacks, transgenders. The idea is “social justice.” Justice, on the other hand, is equal for all. We see we do not have justice when we see the disparate treatment of Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell” and President Trump. The church got deceived as to what justice it is to follow.
- Along with the idea of justice is the mingling of the concepts of personal responsibility and reactions of forgiveness, and that of delegated authority and reactions of justice. Jesus taught how to react to the minor problems of life. Some takes your parking place or seat at church. Someone buts ahead in line at the grocery store. Someone spills coffee on the table. Go the second mile. Forgive. Turn the other cheek. It is grace that will cover the thousand and one incoveniences that happen every day. But when it gets to law, delegated authority, and matters on which society has settled as matters of law as to things that are evil, you don’t apply the personal law to matters of justice. If a child is trafficked, if a teacher or doctor or government official wants to change the sex of your child without your knowledge, if communism and atheism is taught in the schools, if theft of private property is legalized, if government officials are known to have lied, cheated, stolen (including elections), if there are events contrary to the basics of western civilization built on the basics of the Ten Commandments, these things cannot get a pass or a slap on the wrist. Otherwise, they will continue. You don’t turn the other cheek when a child is trafficked. The blending and confusion and denial of the fact that there have to be severe consequences when things have stepped outside of the laws and structures that created western civilization has created a lukewarm attitude towards transgressions that permits them to continue and worsen. The lukewarm attitude will undermine the foundations of western civilization.
- If the cause of Christ has not advanced, is it because those who had gifts and resources refused to use their gifts, refused to operate in their place of the body of Christ, or refused to give tithes and offerings. The body of Christ, and ultimately society overall, suffers for the lack of those parts of the body that would/will not function as God created them to function and give. “Ye are not your own. (I Corinthians 6:19)” Along with that, some parts of the body of Christ try to be something they are not. There are some people who are called to gifts of administrations and leadership. There are others who are called to help the vision of the leader. God rewards those who are obedient to the call God gives the individual, not for trying to take the place of another.

Does God Always Answer Prayer?
Does God always answer prayer? Can we pray for anyone, any time, for anything with no requirements from the Most High?
While the mercy of God is great, there can be times when different protocols are required.
Prayer will not override the need for repentance and obedience.
Jonah is a good example of this. The Lord told him to preach to Ninevah. Jonah went the other way. He got in a ship; there was a storm, Jonah knew he was the cause of the storm. He told the ship mates to throw him overboard. He ended up in the belly of a great fish. There he repented for not doing God’s will. The fish spit him out and Jonah went on to do what God had told him to do. If Jonah had not repented, he might not have left that fish.
Jonah 1:1 Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
3 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.
4 But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.
5 Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
6 So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.
7 And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
8 Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?
9 And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.
10 Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them.
11 Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.
12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.
13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.
14 Wherefore they cried unto the Lord, and said, We beseech thee, O Lord, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O Lord, hast done as it pleased thee.
15 So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.
16 Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the Lord, and made vows.
17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
2:1 Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish’s belly,
2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
4 Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God.
7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.
10 And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
Jonah 3:1 And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.
3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey.
If you think that that is a fantastic story and that it could not be real, Jesus referred to it. I think we would agree that Jesus knew what he was talking about and that no falsehood ever passed his lips.
Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Here is an example of where God was looking for righteous living. God said, “should I be enquired of at all by them?”
Ezekiel 14:1 Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.
2 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
3 Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?
4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;
5 That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.
6 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.
7 For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the Lord will answer him by myself:
8 And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
9 And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
10 And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;
11 That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord God.
12 The word of the Lord came again to me, saying,
13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:
14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God.
15 If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:
16 Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate.
17 Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:

19 Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:
20 Though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
21 For thus saith the Lord God; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?
22 Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.
23 And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord God.
Jesus said this.
John 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
5 They hatch cockatrice’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
9 Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
11 We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
12 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
13 In transgressing and lying against the Lord, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
Malachi 3:5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts.
6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.
13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts?
15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
